Knitting Ministry

A program of FCCW’s Ministry of Member Care

Anyone interested in knitting or learning to knit or crochet a prayer shawl or baby blanket is welcome in the Knitting Ministry! 

• Baby blankets are given to children in our church at the time of their baptisms.

• Prayer Shawls are given to members of the church, and friends beyond the church, in times of illness, crisis, or need.  A Prayer Shawl is a project requiring only a beginning skill level as a knitter!

The Knitting Ministry meets periodically for a knitting night when members can work on projects together and new knitters can learn from experienced knitters.  Members of the congregation are welcome and needed to work on baby blankets and shawls on their own.

Coordinators of this project are Gretchen Alexander and Liz Ferrari---they can answer any questions about patterns and projects.
